i did in WIN ME using commands en mdos
(Formatting a hard disk :
When you use the format command to format a hard disk,
format displays a message of the following form before
attempting to format the hard disk:)

WARNING, ALL DATA ON nonremovable DISK
DRIVE x: WILL BE LOST!
Proceed with Format (Y/N)?)
but with WIN XP PROFESIONAL i can do it..
anybody knows ..cause i want to install clean again my
win xp..

You can use the WinXP CD to format. Just choose the Cdrom drive as first
boot device in Bios. Boot from CD and
select New Install.
