PRESS YOUR CAPS LOCK KEY, AND ENSURE IT'S OFF!

If your convinced you need to do this, then insert your
install CD and boot to it, choose the option to format
and then install the OS.

Now with that said, what are the details to your problems,
that you have decided to format and reinstall.

Please turn Caps Lock off - it is considered as shouting and makes messages hard to read. Could you please post the exact problems that you are having? Why do you need to reformat your hard drive - that is the last resort?

You mean re-install xp. Downloading is when you transfer files "down" to
your computer from a remote computer, server, or website.

Boot to the xp cd and follow the on-screen instructions.
