I am planning to install the Vista Beta to a new hard drive I just purchased
for my toshiba laptop, a 2 year old laptop running a Mobile Pent IV 3.06
GHZ. After seeing how it goes and whether the Toshiba will run Vista, I plan
to reformat the drive and then restore my previous (old hard drive) images to
the new hard drive, as I don't really think I can run enough on the beta
vista at this point. Will I have any issues reformating the drive after the
Vista install...or just restoring the images over the Vista partiton? I
thought I read a post by someone who said they got error messages when trying
to reformat...but perhaps I'm mistaken.

Thank you.

Before you do that backup is your friend. I backed XP to my exteral HD
before I installed Vista on the primary. That will make it easier to
migate favorites and all mail address and such. Once you have
everything backed up do a clean install on the primary. Just my opinon
based on my experience on what happened on my system. I might have it
easier because I have a relativly new P4 system.
