I want to be able to enter the time using four digits and after leaving the
cell it displays as the time format.

example

0845 will display as 08:45

I have tried different custom formats but non seem to do this, any ideas?
Thanking you.

From what I see here, it's pretty simple. Don't use a custom format
select the one under "Time" that matches the format you've listed. Al
you have to do is remember to actually type in the colon when you ente
the time and the format will remain static.

Is there a reason that you can't include the colon when entering th
data ? If there is, post the details and I'll try and figure somethin
out for you

Thanks, I appreciate your suggestion .

I've had a look and understood SOME of the text that is written in
brown - the black times new roman print is incomprehensible to by a
novice like me!
