I have a 160 gig wd drive thats formatted as Fat32 and is accessible in
DOS/Win98SE and now I just got a new 250 gig western digital hard drive
and need to format it as Fat32 but winXP only allows NTFS and Partition
Magic 8 allows NTFS, Linux Ext2/3. The drive is in a USB 2 enclosure
and I need it to be accessible in DOS for ghost 2003 and in Win98SE. I
don't remember how I formatted the 160 gig drive.

Does anyone know what program I need to use to format it as Fat32?

Thanks,
Pete

Anything other than XP basically. fdisk from SE will format it fine.

Windows XP will only format with FAT32 up to a 32GB partition.
Try a Windows Me Bootdisk.
If I remember correctly it's not recommended to format with FAT32 a
partition larger then 128GB.
so you should think about making two 125GB partitions on the 250GB.

I used PM8 to create a 160gig ntfs then a 2nd partition of 70gig as
fat32. This way I can still transfer files using win98.
