Form will not submit? Help

G

Guest

I am working on my work website: www.angelusshop.net and the order form is
http://www.angelusshop.net/orderform.html

I am using FrontPage 2000, and after clicking submit, I went to "Form
Properties"
At the "Send to" option, I left the "file name" the same, however, and place
my e-mail address in the "email address" field.

I think I might have changed the HTML to "formatted text." Maybe I should
change that back? I also, put my confirmation page file name in the
confirmation page field.

Where am I going wrong, what do I do next, and help! Thank you!!!

You have nested tables inside the form tags which won't work, the form needs to be inside
one table.

You have tried to make the confirmation page open from a link added to the submit button.
This won't work either. The confirmation page is designated / called in "Form
Properties."

imho, it would be much easier if you started over and recreated your form.

Nested tables will work inside form tags.

1) You are attempting to collect credit card info on an unsecured site
- only a fool would enter any info like that for the world to see
2) Then you are displaying the form results on the form page (so the world can see the info) at the bottom (the results are being
sent by the form to the same page - orderform.html)
- If it were normal unsecured data you would need to send it to an existing page w/ write permissions like say: orderresults.htm
(by default only the _private folder in a FP site has write permissions so the file would need to be in that folder)

Suggest you remove the form and consider using a commercial shopping cart or paypal type system and / or database (plus a secure
server) for your online sales

Adding to Stefan's comments: collecting the cc info the way he pointed out
will leave you wide open for serious legal liability and action.
