Form View blank UNLESS started from Design View??

hi all

Has anyone seen this behaviour previously? I have a form which contains a
subform both of which are populated by queries. If I go into the Form's
design view, *then* go to Form View the form is displayed fine with the
correct data returned from the queries. BUT if I go direct into the Form
View, a blank form is displayed (ie as you would get if there were no records
returned - and as I do not allow new records in this form, there is no empty
new record either).

This is Access 2000 with a separate front end for the forms. I have tried
Compact & Repair - makes no difference. If anyone has any ideas I'd
appreciate it...!!

I have found the solution - the forms must have become corrupt - I imported
them to a new database, deleted the originals and reimported them to the
original database and they work fine...
