Hi al

I am experiencing a problem processing FORM input, whereby the action page does not register the simple form.variable values provided. That is, untill the action page is refreshed. However, even this fails to produce the correct values now. The problem occurs when using client: XP Pro/IE.6 but does not occur with client: NT.4/IE.5.1

Server: W2k, ColdFusion MX configured with IIS 5

Please refer to the following URL for details

MS support acknowledgement would be greatly appreciated - as would input from the newsgroup

Thanks in advance - Stev

Just in case this may be the cause.

Thanks for your reply, Henri.

I have actualy read the KBID you refer to during my
ongoing search for clues.
The article states the following, however:

"STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the
Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of
this article. This problem was first corrected in
Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1."

It is, of course, this very version of the browser which
is failing to produce the correct results and behaviour.
I therefore, concluded that this was probably not the
cause. MS do mean in the second sentence, that the issue
was resolved, do they not?
If they mean, instead, that sp1 was the first attempt to
fix the problem, but did not, then this may still be
relevant. The urlmon.dll file refered to is dated 08-jan-
2002(6.0.2713.800), my version is more recent: 07-jan-
2003 (6.0.2800.1154).

Just for the record, I have successfully tested IE6 on an
NT platform recently. The problem occurs on my XP Pro/IE6
client only.

Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Regards, Steve
