Hello,

Can someone help me to put in the "parameters" or "variables" for my
Submit button on my form. I don't know what to put in the form options
window. Right now, when I click on my Submit Button for my Form a box
opens up and it says :

Push Button Properties: Value Label - Submit Query

Then, when I right click on the Submit Button and open up the "Form
Properties" a Box there indicates that it is set to :
SEND TO OTHERS - custom ISAPI, NSAPI, CGI, or ASP SCRIPT.

Then When I click on the "OPTIONS BUTTON" on the bottom of that window.
The "ACTIONS" window is indicating:
http://your-domain.com/cgi-bin/formmail.cgi (by the way I would rather not
use the form mail program, it is too complicated for me)
Then it says METHOD = post

Finally when I go back to the previous menu, there is another button called
"Advanced" when I click that, a list of parameters opens up:

Recipient (e-mail address removed)
Redirect http://your-domain.com/thanks.htm
Required "email,your-domain."
sort - etc
subject etc .. Please can someone help me fill in all these parameters or
change these parameters so that my Form works and the "order information" is
sent either by email or some other way to me. Thankyou all, Susu

This isn't a FrontPage form.

You will need to contact the author of the form.

Select Send to Other, as you have indicated, then enter the path to the file that will process the
form data. At this point you are on you own, as FP will not write any script for you, so you will
need to use whatever your host provides or whatever you have downloaded from the web, and then you
will have to follow whatever instructions are provided, as this is no longer a FP related issue.

Hello Steve, I know this isn't a front page form, so could I just delete
the "submit button" on this form, and then put in a Front Page "Submit
Button"
Will that work now. If the answer is yes, can you then go ahead and tell
me
what parameters to put in for the Front Page Submit Button. Thankyou. susu

You just select the default setting under the form properties and then fill in your email address,
and then publish to a web server that has the FP extensions via http.

First, does your host support FrontPage extensions and are they
installed?
Second, is the email transport set up in the extensions? Ask your
host.
If the answer to both the above is Yes, then:

Open Form Properties (right click anywhere in the form and choose Form
Properties)

Click the Send to radio button, and type in the recipients email
address in the appropriate text box. This email address may have to
be to a user in the same domain as the website.

Click the Advanced button, and remove everything there.

Click the Options button, and fill in the fields: In e-mail results
tab:
E-mail Format - set to Formatted Text. Do not use any of the HTML
options: they may fail.
Subject Line - if you have a field for the subject, tick the box
and type in the field name, exactly as it is named in the Code view of
the page. This is not the label the visitor sees.
Reply-to line: Tick the box and type in the field name the user
places their e-mail address. Again, type in the field name, exactly
as it is named in the Code view of the page. This is not the label
the visitor sees.

Optionally, you can store the form results in a file.
In File Results tab, fill in the file path and file name to store
your results. Make sure the file is in the _private folder, or the
form will fail.

Confirmation Tab - type in the path and name of the page you wish to
use to confirm the results - leave blank to use the FP default, or
type in your Thank-you page. This must NOT be in the _private folder.
Use the Browse button to browse to an existing page.

Save Fields Tab - Make sure that all fields you wqant saved are listed
here.
