Hi All: Using FP xp and Access xp on windows xp pro.
Any tutorials that simply demonstrate a way to set up a forms page that I
can get data from and import into or auto import into my desktop database?
I would like to create a customer feedback form and have the data collected
to evaluate our performance with my data base. If not auto I guess I could
enter results manual as I would only expect 5 or so responses per week.
Thanks, Ed

Have you look at the FP database components?

If you mean can you use Access, then yes, but the site must be run from a web server that support
ASP.

If the site uses FrontPage extensions, use a FrontPage form to save data to
a comma or tab delimited file.
Download the file (use FrontPage to open the live site and File->Export the
file to your desktop, then empty the file on the server) and use Access to
import it into a database table.

Sounds like a plan, Will have to play around and see the structures to
include or not field names atc..
Thanks, Ed

would this form be going on the web? If not, then why not just use ms access
(the application in MS Office) you don't need a html page/web site to do this for
a desktop database.

On the web or emailed as an html email in the body of letter. This way the
customer can respond without having to go to web site.
