Form is not displaying the controls

I'm new to access, trying to create a database. The problem I have is my form
is not showing up the controls, just the header, a big coloured retangle
(where should be the details with the controls) and the footer. Can you
please help me?

When a form has no records and no ability to add new ones it displays a
completely blank details section. Most likely you have it bound to a query that
is causing both of those.
