form fields, how to click and type

how do you set your curser to start at the beginning of a form field in word?
unless i tab to my fields, i cannot type in information

That's the idea of a protected form. You need to have a form field wherever
you want users to be able to type or add data.

When you click into a field, you can use the home key or the arrow keys. It
is best to tab into them, though. What you are talking about is what Word
calls an "online form." Check this in help. For more about online forms,
