forgotten password for administrator user acct.

Is there a way to get a new password for my/me admin. acct.? I cannot
remember it! I did as suggested and am using a standard acct. w/psswd. I
cannot download or upgrade or anything now! another dumb blonde messing up
her new laptop!
PS I am the sole owner/user. HELP PLEASE!!!

- Do you have your Windows DVD available?
- Are there any other administrators on your computer?
- Did you upgrade from XP?
