forgot to add with awe64

I just upgraded to XP and get no audio playback. As in
another question, none of the devices seem to work,
winamp, windows media player etc. My sound worked fine
before the upgrade. I have a Soundblaster awe64.....it is
old but worked fine. Am I going to have to upgrade? I
have reinstalled the card, and drivers, together and
separately. I went to change the play controls as
explained in the Soundblaster Live! knowledge base
article, but the play control is not there for earlier
soundcards.

Forgot to add that I have sound with games, but with
nothing else. Winamp, media player, nothing with audio
playback works. They look as if they are playing, but
there is no sound.

Thanks again,
Laura
