Forget price. Absolute best anti virus??

The egg, Going on fossil evidence of course. :))

Oh, and Kaspersky's engine along with another good engine (pick one)
integrated into one 'scanner' would probably be best. I don't recall
what these were branded as - but it does sound like a good combo.
Anyway, 'the best' anti-virus software may not be what you really need.

AVK (AntiVirusKit) is one such. KAV + BD in one product. I stopped using it
due to a very noticeable slowdown on file access at times.

To many, speed is important. There is always cost to computing. So 'the
best' at detection would necessarily be the slowest. In fact 'the best'
at detection may take an infinite amount of time. All useful scanners
trade time for accuracy, and people draw the line where they like. Even
in here I have seen most praise for the 'good and fast' and complaints
about the 'better yet slower' offerings.

So how can anyone say what is best? Such scanners are best for me
since I only use scanners on-demand. In fact, other highly touted
scanners are worthless to me.
