Hi Peter,

Forest:-One or more Active Directory domains that share the same class
and attribute definitions/schema(The set of definitions for the universe
of objects that can be stored in a directory), site and replication
information (configuration), and forest-wide search capabilities (global
catalog). Domains in the same forest are linked with two-way, transitive
trust relationships.

Trees:-A hierarchical representation of the folders, files, disk drives,
and other resources connected to a computer or network. For example,
Windows Explorer uses a tree view to display the resources that are
attached to a computer or a network.

Domains :-In Active Directory, a collection of computer, user, and group
objects defined by the administrator.
These objects share a common directory database, security policies, and
security relationships with other domains.

Peter:
Forest:
A collection of one or more domains that share a common schema,
configuration, and GC, and are linked with two-way transitive trusts.

Tree:
Multiple domains that have a hierarchical relationship, with a common root
domain at the top, and have a contiguous name space.

Domain Controller:
A computer running Win2k+ server op system that has been promoted to a DC.
DCs store directory data and manage user domain interactions, including user
login processes, authentication, and directory services.

Comments:
Win2k Server Resource Kit is an excellent resource for info.
