Forcing the screen saver

The Lurker At The Threshold

Is there anyway to force the screen saver to execute, other than waiting for
the timer to kick in?

The Lurker etc.
 
Right-click on your Desktop and select:
New > Shortcut, then browse to the
C:\Windows\System32 folder. Chose
your desired screensaver, such as "sspipes.scr",
click next and finish.

But, as David Candy pointed out to a suggestion of mine, that will *not*
give the security side if you want a password to be required on leaving
the saver
