The third party solution that I pointed you at is not a 'bad interface
design'. and as I said about your comment, "If a checkbx states "Show task
pane at startup", it obviously means the same as opening a new document ,
that is, it opens "New document" task pane": no it doesn't. You asked for
help with controlling the Task Pane, we gave you a solution and all you do
is rant. To use YOUR words, 'why do I really bother'.
