There is not a way to force the client to logon to a specific domain
controller in win2k. If you have correctly configured sites in Active
Directory the client will attempt to locate a domain controller within it's
site. That will keep it from authenticating with a DC across the WAN as
long as a DC is available within the clients site. The following links will
