Many thanks for the positive try, but although there is a + against the
CD-RW Drive (E:) in Windows Explorer, when I click on the + no files are
produced at all. This could be the reason why a Systems Restore also failed
to correct this fault. I tried the installation CD of Win.XPPro to do a
repair job, but of course I cannot get it to start, because it will not
appear on the Monitor screen. Any ideas how to do a repair job in such
circumstances?
