I purchased a Dell in the spring of 2002 and for the
first few weeks I had tremendous problems with the
computer locking up etc. It appears that Dell ships
computers with an early version of XP that is in need of
a lot of fixes which are available from Dell. By
contacting Dell customer service with descriptions of my
problems I was able to get downloads of microsoft fixes
to correct my problems. Since then, I have had no
problems.
