footnotes

Hi
I'm starting a large technical report in which I will need to make use of
footnotes. Is there a function in Word that will facilitate footnotes?

Insert > Reference > Footnote (or, in Word 2007, References tab > Insert
Footnote) will insert a footnote reference at the cursor and throw you into
editing the footnote proper. Is that what you're looking for?

Yes thanks, thats exactly what I was looking for. Feel a bit silly cos its
in such an obvious place :P
But appreciate it a lot nevertheless!
