Footnote space in Web pages

I am in XP using WORD 2007. my work involves adding footnotes to documents.
It is all straightforward except that in web pages the note does not go all
across the page : it stops half way. Will someone please remind me how to use
the full widthof the page? tThank you. db
 
Show nonprinting marks by pressing Ctrl+Shift+8, and then delete any
undesired line breaks or paragraph marks (¶) in the footnote text.
 
Thank you Stefan Blom. The Paragraph marks would only move across the page.
They could not be removed. Are there any other approaches? db
 
If anyone knows where I can pay for this advice will they please let me Know.
i have no doubt that Mr Blom has other things to do ! Many thanks. db
