Fonts

I'm having trouble installing fonts. I've installed in
the past without a problem. I've installed an Adobe
font...it appears in my fonts folder but doesn't appear
in my Word choices or in my Quark application. I realized
tonight that only True Type fonts (TT) and those marked
with red "a" or "A" appear...not those with the "o."
(Sorry I can't explain more clearly...limited
understanding of situation!) Anyway, I checked in my font
folder and the box saying "Only display True Type fonts"
is unchecked. Then why aren't all of the fonts that
appear in my fonts folder appearing in my applications? I
would appreciate any suggestions or guidance. Thank you...

This may be due to a limitation in the individual program.
Try clicking on the drop down box where the font is listed.
Then scroll through all possibilities. You should see,
particularly where the fonts fonts are divided into two
lists in word at least and most all should be listed.
