Hi,

I can read a reply to a post: "create a gif image of the text in the fancy
font and insert that in your page(s)."

Would be thankful if anyone can explain to me how this can be done.

It just means use a graphics program such as Paint Shop Pro to create a
graphic image and just write text that is needed. This technique is used to
guarantee that non-standard fonts, in other words fonts that aren't on a lot
of computers, are seen properly by visitors to the site.
