After a clean install of Windows XP on a freshly formatted
HD (to resolve other errors), application display fonts
are generally so small that they cannot be read. Any
ideas on how to switch the system to larger fonts?

Thanks

Are your icons also small? If so, then adjust your
desktop display properties by right clicking somewhere on
the desktop (not on an icon) and select properties.

Next, click on the "Settings" tab

In the bottom left hand corner, adjust the "Screen
Resolution" to a lower value-----for a 19" or 17" monitor
try 1024 by 768. Click "Apply" and a dialogue box will
ask you if you want to keep the settings. Say yes if you
like it. Then click OK.

Now if that isn't the case, then you can change the font
size another way. Use the procedure above but instead of
clicking on the "Settings" tab, click on the "Appearance"
tab. Here you can set the font size for any icon or text.
