Fonts too small sometimes when printing.

I recently got Office 2003 and every now and then when I try to print an
email that I received, the font are real small - like 6 pt. I can change
font size on screen but it doesn't affect printing. It doesn't happen a lot
but real annoying when it does. Makes it kind of hard to read.

Anyone else had this problem? Any solutions.?

Thanks.

Microsoft and their MVP people have chosen to ignore this problem which also
includes a failure to print headers.
It seemed to have something to do with IE7 as all was well before I
installed that.

MS probably want us to buy Vista and Office 2007 to solve the problem.

MVPs have not been ignoring any issue. Since MVPs are not in Microsoft's
employ, they cannot effect any changes in the product. They, like you, must
rely upon Microsoft to to that.

Thanks, I found other threads with same issue after I posted this. Will wait
and see.

Microsoft is taking a long time to fix this issue. I just got a hotfix for
the missing headers issue. I haven't tested it thoroughly enough but maybe it
will fix the font issue too...

KB931657

Has anyone seen a resolution to the "Shrink to Fit" printing of HTML emails
through IE7 yet? Is Microsoft even acknowledging this issue?

If you print an HTML email from Outlook 2003, IE7's "Shrink to Fit" feature
prints it in 5 or 6 pt font in an attempt to make the HTML email fit to the
page. No font setting will change it and it is random. You don't know that
it will "shrink to fit" an HTML email until you actually print it. You then
have to go into the email, edit the message, change the format to plain text,
save the email and then print just to have a normal printout. It does not
even have to be a long email either. I have seen emails with only 3 small
exchanges shrink to fit the page even though it would have fit on one page in
plain text format.

There might be a workaround for this. If you view the email in IE then go to
Print Preview you get the option to change from "Shrink to fit" to a Print
Zoom you want. I can't recall if Outlook 2003 has a vuew in IE feature but
you could save the message as html then open in IE7 and print from there.

I can't comment on whether a fix is pending but I think one would be
difficult since it requires actual communication between the IE and Outlook
teams and Outlook doesn't use IE with Outlook 2007.
You might file a support request to get it mentioned as a bug and I'll make
sure I mention it if I'm on a beta Service Pack where it hasn't been fixed.
