Fonts on my webpage

I am creating a new webpage and notice that when I access it from different
computers, the fonts aren't always the same depending on which ones I have
available on that particular computer.

Is this common or is there a way for me to ensure that my webpage appears
exactly the way I created it so that different users are viewing it
accurately?
