Fonts in my powerpoint presentation have jagged edges (times new roman) How
can I smooth the edges. Worst are in charts I added to the presentation.

Often when you resize a chart by dragging the handles on the slide, you
resize so that it's not proportionate. This can cause jagged text on the
charts.

Double-click to open the chart, and then resize using the herringboned edges
there. This should help. If you're on the slide, don't drag the edge to
resize the chart -- instead, right-click, choose Format Chart (or Format
Object) and resize in the Size tab. Select the Lock Aspect Ratio to keep the
proportion.

Or ungroup the chart. That may also help. You can make a copy of your chart
before ungrouping, and size the copy to, say, 5% (using the Format
Chart/Object and Size tab as described above). Then drag the copy off the
edge of the slide in case you need to get back to the original data for some
reason.
