Fonts for preview pane

Can a user change the font size in the Preview Pane (now
known as the Reading pane)?

for plain text, yes. tools, options, mail format, stationary. Composing and
reading plain text is also the one used for the reading (and preview pane in
older version). You can control HTML fonts to some degree, by changing the
setting under stationary.
