FontForge 20040329 (Linux)

A font editor for TrueType and PostScript fonts.

About:
FontForge is an outline font editor that lets you create your own
Postscript, TrueType, OpenType, CID-keyed, multi-master, CFF, SVG, and
bitmap (BDF) fonts, or edit existing ones. It also lets you convert one
format to another, and has support for many Macintosh font formats.

"FontForge used to be called PfaEdit. Previous releases may be found at
http://pfaedit.sf.net/"

and to install on Windows:

"How do I edit fonts on MS windows?
To run FontForge under MS windows you must first install the cygwin
environment."

This morning I found two truetype font editors that were supposed to
be free. They're both shareware it turned out after I downloaded them
and ran them.

The search continues.
