Font to large and colour gone.

I am sure there is a simple answer but I do not know it.
I recently updated / upgraded my Norton product to 2005 with no problems. My
Acer T/mate is squeaky clean and all runs fine. But now when I open the first
window pane which is just where I select what I want do do or go the text
size is now oversized and therfore one of the items is almost hidden below
part of the prettyfied window. Also the most of the colour and background
has disappeared.
When I selct an item to go to, say for 'Anti Virus' the window that appears
is colurful and as it should be with fonts all in correct place and correct
colouring.
All othe apps etc on this Acer are in fine working order.

What does anyone suggest that can remedy this?

Open Display in Control Panel. On the Settings tab, click Advanced. On the General tab, in the DPI setting list, click the dots per
inch (dpi) setting you want to use. If you choose Other in the DPI setting list, you can set custom options
