Font size cannot be changed

I have a small 1.2 MB disk based web. I cannot change the 12pt font size on
any of the pages. Body, tables, hyperlinks... everything. Only H1, H2 etc
work. There is no stylesheet and I tried to set font size in the standard
ways and with the Style function found in the FP menu. I can only change font
type.

When I first started working on the web I imported some similar pages from
other 3rd party sites into the web to serve as a loose reference. I think the
problem started after that. I have deleted all of those pages and made sure
that there are no style sheets or other miscellaneous files, but nothing
works. Everything is 12 pt and needs to be 10pt to display correctly.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. This problem has prevented me from
publishing the site for weeks now. Thank you.

Have you selected the text, then right clicked and selected Fonts?

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have right clicked on the text, selected
fonts, and tried to reduce the font size from 12 to 10. It lets me do it and
the page view shows 10. The weird thing is, in the page view the font size
says 10 and the text itself is the appropriate size. But in preview mode and
preview in browser it appears as 12. All of the page view font sizes are
ignored or overridden.

I need to get this website online. If you are stumped by this problem, would
you know of someone who troubleshoots the actual web for a fee?
