How can I determine the actual printed height of a selected font size in
Powerpoint?

Look at the font size, keeping in mind that 72 points is equal to 1 inch

What Michael said. But also remember that while 72 points = 1 inch, 72 point
letters won't be 72 points tall; instead, when the text is set "solid" (ie, no
extra line spacing) it'll measure 72 points from the bottom of the letters on
one line to the bottom of the letters on the next line.

Then the printed size of the whole works will depend on your print dialog
settings. You want to make sure that "Scale to fit" isn't checked.

Sounds like you're trying to solve a specific problem and we're throwing
general info at your general question. What're you trying to accomplish? We
can prolly give you more useful answers if we know that.
