font locations

In my charts I list alot of words with sub characters.
(CO2) The 2 in this word should be subscript. I can not
find the option in excel to do this just to the one
character. Is it an options?

Phyllis,

Put the cell into edit mode (double-click it, or press F2). Or use the
formula bar. Select only the character to be subscripted. Now use Format,
Cells, and set it for subscript.
