Font Color Selection on Toolbar

I am using Word 2000. Having placed the Font Color Selection icon from the
format menu on the toolbar, after I close Word down and restart it, I am
unable to bring up the pallette of colors. The last used color is all that
can be selected. Any suggestions?
 
Problem solved myself - I blew away the normal.dot file. Thanks anyway.
