Font Appears in Fonts Folder, but Not in PPT

I'm having an issue with the Centaur font.

I created a PPT on another machine using Centaur (did not embed the font).
Now, I'm on a new machine and have a TrueType version of Centaur that
appears in my fonts folder, but it shows as missing in PPT.

I can't seem to delete the font from my fonts folder and I have an OpenType
version that it won't let me install into the folder because it says it's
already installed.

Did I hopelessly screw up a system font?

Centaur's not a system font, so you're safe in that respect, I figure.

Try shutting down all programs and restarting Windows.
Then, before doing anything else, try removing the font and then install its
replacement.
