font and fill colors

I'm running excel 2003 and in a worksheet when i change
the color of the font and also the background (fill) of a
cell, it doesn't display it on the worksheet. However, if
i do a print preview it shows all the colors that I've
assigned. What is wrong?

The high contrast setting may be turned on. There's
