Hi, please help i am totally stuck with this one.
A student today as a joke created a folder within a folder 27 times and
then copied his mates work into the last folder creating even more folder
depth.
Now i cannot delete the top or bottom folders - in fact after the 26th or so
folder i cannot access the contents of the following folders.
I restored the work fine, but cannot delete the offending folder and it's
structure.
I have tried deltree, nwadmin, renaming folders so they are shorter names
but still cannot delete it. any ideas on what i can do???

Can you share it and try deleting some of the folders from in the share from
another computer?

Tim

Often times, you cannot delete the top folder, but you can rename it. Try
renaming folders starting from the root folder and going deeper until you
are under 260 characters for the entire path.

Use the SUBST command to shorten the path.

START>> RUN>> CMD>> Subst /? to get the correct syntax.
