Folders stuck on read-only

W

Wade

I don't know how this happened, but for some reason all
of the folders on my C: drive are set to read-only and I
can't remove that property. Even if I create a new
folder, it is defaulting to a read-only folder that can't
be changed.

I'm lost. Any ideas? Is this perhaps a virus?

Thanks,

Wade

If the attrib command at a cmd prompt tells you
the folders are read-only then they are.
If it does not then they are not.
If you are assuming what you post from the user
interface you are misunderstanding the user interface.
Search this newsgroup, or google on your issue, for
many weekly explainations.
