Folder will no longer open

I have a single folder that will no longer open, either by double clicking or
right clicking and selecting open. When I try to open it, I get the "Open
With" box. The folder is a gateway to several GB of music files.

I have run several disk ultilities with no errors and also ran scandisk with
no errors. I would assume there might be some registry fix for this or a
program I can run? Not sure but any help on this matter would be greatly
appreciated.

Do you get an access denied message when trying to open it? If so,
right-click it, click properties & then click the security tab. Wait for
your SID to convert to your username then highlight it. Now, check the
security settings for that folder.

If you aren't listed then click ADD...

I do not get an error message. The folder - which it used to be one - has an
icon consistent with files that are not associated with any file type. So
when I try to open it, I get an "Open With" popup. The drive I am trying to
access is not the system drive which I am not sure if that makes a difference
or not.
