I've installed a new hard drive and want to use it as a slave for the 4 users
on XP Home. I've transfered the users folders using the Western Digital drive
to drive data copying program. My problem is I now have documents in the
slave drive (E), and also on "C" in two areas, when I find their path it says
they are on "E", but when I delete them it wipes it off "E" drive also.
How do I transfer these folders to E and remove them from C?
On the Windows Explorer tree the folders are under "My Computer" and under
"My Documents" as well as "E" drive

Try this: Delete the file on "E" drive, then using Windows Explorer
"drag&drop"
the file from C to E. That should solve it. Your "C" drive is your boot
drive, thus
the master, deleting from C will also delete from E. Hope this helps.
You do not have to do one file at a time, you can mass drag&drop by holding
down the Ctrl key and highlighting hundreds of files at one time. :~)
Someone else reading this post may have a better solution.

Hi Byte, It didn't work. When I delete a folder under "E" drive it wipes it
off "C" also, so I have to restore from the recycle bin. I had tried the drag
and drop of the folders earlier but, it just set the folder up as a shortcut
in "E" drive.
All these Bits are driving me nuts!!
