Folder Settings

I have set folders in various editions of windows for
years and not had a problem. I like to use the classic
view and see details rather than Icons. I use Windows XP
Pro. My setting was mt typical setting for folder views
and was working nicely showing me details in each folder I
opened. Recently, every time I would go into a program or
folder the view would be Icons. I would go to Tools/Folder
Options and reset the view to details and mark it as
resetting all folders to that view. Next time I go to the
folder the view has reverted to Icons again. It does this
regardless of whether the box in Advanced Folder Options
is checked to remember each individual folders view. Can
anyone think of what else I might try to resolve this
problem? Thanks in advance

Hi

View settings are limited to 400. Try the following link to increase those
settings to 8000:

It only has limited memory of such things. To increase it go to

Line 2 - left, 'increase folder viewing size limit'
