folder reverts to read only

Memo

I have a folder and I right click on it and unchoose the read only box
and choose all subfolders. Then I check it again and it is readonly
again. I checked it's contents and none of them were read only unless
they were hidden files. What is wrong.

Nothing is wrong - Windows XP ignores the read-only
attribute of folders. You should to the same.
