can change font size for compose, reply... emails/ columns and so forth, but
I could not find an option to adjust the folder list column

Unfortunately it is not possible to change the font size of the Folder List
in Outlook. It can be modified by changing the DPI setting for Windows XP
but that will change the way all font in Windows is displayed. Here are the
steps to adjust the Windows DPI setting:
1)Right click on the desktop.
2)Select Properties.
3)Click the Settings tab in the Display Properties dialog.
4)Click the Advanced button.
5)Select the General tab.
6)Modify the DPI setting to "Large Size (120 DPI) or select Custom to
modify the DPI setting as desired.
7)Click Apply and O.K.
8)Restart the system (required).

NOTE: ALL font displays are now modified.

9)Launch Outlook.
10)Confirm ALL fonts, including the Folder List fonts, now display in the
configured DPI setting.

I hope this information is helpful.
