Folder customizing--they keep changing themselves

I've got windows xp, and I've been trying to customize
the folders in my "My Pictures" folder, but everytime I
put an image up on one folder, I find it mysteriously
appearing on other folders in totally unrelated areas
like a Chili Peppers pic on a family photo album or
something. Especially annoying is when I customize a
picture folder, then go to "My Music" to find all or some
of my music folders suddenly turned into photo albums
with images on the front. I change them back, go back
to "My Pictures" and guess what? They're all music
folders now. What the heck is wrong?

thanks for your input, but i'm still a bit confused.
What's a regedit, and what exactly am I trying to do? (I
learn faster if I know the why as well as the what, and I
don't speak computer really well yet ;) )

Thanks

No, I understood about getting the tweak off the website,
I'd been browsing it earlier. I just want to know what it
does, exactly.

Oh, nevermind, now i understand your post. But I don't
understand a word of the post you sent me to. Can I
assume that somebody up at MS didn't plan on us having
tons and tons of folders, basically?

Which one?

1. Increasing the bag size won't help your situation.

2. Deleting the BagMRU and Bags key does a similar but better job of Resetting the folder views.

3. However your problem is sniffing. It thinks it's a picture folder or disk. A folder/disk is sniffed when opened if there are no saved settings. Then the results of the sniff are saved and taken from settings (under Bags) subsequent times a folder is opened.

Sorry I'm actually answering a very similar named thread. Ignore all my input here.
