Folder Contacts doesn't work

Hi,

I just reinstalled OE2003 and I reuse my old PST data file.
So, I have a folder named "Contacts" and all my contacts are there.
However, when I write any name in the field "To:" OE2003 doesn't recognize
any contact.

What I'm doing wrong?

If you right click the Contact folder and choose Properties and then Outlook
Address
Book is the box "show this as an email address book" checked. If it is
checked, try removing the contact Address book via Tools > Email Accounts >
View or change existing directories and address books > highlight the
contact address book and choose remove. Close and restart Outlook then
re-add the address book back via Tools > Email Accounts > Add a new
directory or address book > Outlook address book. Close and restart Outlook
and then right click the contact folder choose Properties and then Outlook
Address Book and check the afore mentioned check book.

Thanks a lot, Noel,

Your first suggestion worked quite well.
I just don't know why this option is not the default.

Thanks again,

Santistas,

it is the default, but it gets messed up when you reuse old folders unless
you add the folder when you set up the profile, before opening outlook.
