Focus did not move to a new opened form

I have a main form with couple of buttons to open other
forms. The problem is after a button clicked and a form
opened, focus is still on the main form. I have to close
the main form in order to work on the newly opened one.
Can anyone tell me how to have focus passed.

Any help appreciated.

Check popup and/or modal properties on your main form - popup should be off
