Using word 2003...Is there a way to automatically include the flowchart type
name under the flowchart symbol? Say I use a decision symbol and I want the
word "decision" to appear beneath the symbol?

Hi Gator,

You can do it with a macro that can 'read' the names of the shapes and add a caption, or you could create a set of shapes formatted
to include a caption, or grouped with a textbox and store these as AutoText entries to reuse, but there's nothing in Word to display
the shape type name automatically. when inserting it.
