Floppy storage

Many times floppy's are just a little small for programs.
How do I use my computer to instill on 2 or 3 floppys
instead of just one? I have seen this done, but can't
remember how!

'Most' software is now to big to fit on floppy, thats why the majority of
sys use cd.rw. If you really want to use the floppy for storeage. Use PKzip
or Winrar to compress/span

I think there is a free-ware program that lets you split-
up a large
file into smaller pieces, to fit each piece onto a
floppy. I know it
exists, I'm not sure of the name.

Some Zip programs have this built in but there is also a freeware program
called Split Files Shell Extension which has been recommended to me.

It has the advantage that it will tell you which part of a split hasn't
worked when you try to 'reglue' the files so that you can just retrieve that
portion.
